Paval Yukhnevich Jailed for 15 Days

Today democratic activist Paval Yukhnevich was sentenced to 15 days of jail by Savetski court of Minsk. Only yesterday the activist was released from Akrestsina jail where he spent 7 days for organizing the European March. Today he was again found guilty of violation of two articles of the Administrative Code.

Homelskaya Prauda Apologizes

On October 18th Chyhunachny court of Homel heard the suit of Leanid Sudalenka against state regional newspaper Homelskaya Prauda. BAJ member Leanid Sudalenka sued the state paper to defend his honor and dignity. Alena Alenchanka, representative of the newspaper, agreed to publish disclaimer of the information published in the newspaper on August 2nd, without court hearing.

Judge Kashkina to Try Zmitser Dashkevich

The case against Young Front leader Zmitser Dashkevich has been sent to Shklou district court. The activist who is already serving the sentence of 18 months, is facing another 6-month term.

Zhlobin Court Agrees with Local Municipality

Zhlobin court upheld the decision of the local city executive committee which banned a picket in support of Alexander Kazulin.
