LAWYER PAVAL SAPELKA TO REPRESENT ZINAIDA HANCHAR IN THE CASE OF HER HUSBAND’S DISAPPEARANCE

Investigator of Minsk prosecutor’s office S. Kukharonak recognized Paval Sapelka, lawyer of Savetski borough bar, an official representative of Zinaida Hanchar, the widow of the missing politician Viktar Hanchar. Finally, the lawyer has an official status, which will allow him to participate in the investigation into the case of kidnapping of the politician. Viktar Hanchar disappeared almost 4 years ago – September 16, 1999.
Pavel Sapelka has already participated in some political cases as a defender: criminal case of 5 Shklow Zubr members, charged with “insulting honor and dignity of the President”; criminal case against Aksana Novikava, accused of the same “crime”, cases of liquidation of the Youth Christian Social Union and Hrodna regional NGO “Ratusha”. Recently Sapelka defended Pawluk Kanavalchyk, editor of The Navinki newspaper, charged with insult of the president.
