Authorities of Rechytsa Printing House Refuse to Print “Region-vesti”.

The direction of Rechytsa printing house “Titul” has sent a written warning to the independent Svetlahorsk newspaper that on 14 September its printing will stop.Sviatlana Drahun, director of the printing house, motivated this decision with the fact that one Minsk firm ordered printing of many desk calendars for the new year and the printing house would be busy with this order. However, this doesn’t stop “Titul” from printing six State district newspapers, including the official newspaper of Rechytsa District Executive Committee “Svetlahorskiya Naviny”.
When a correspondent of radio “Liberty” asked the director whether she could refuse printing at least one of these newspapers, she answered that they probably, wouldn’t have enough courage, and, having considered all pros and cons, chose “Region-vesti”.
