Justice Board of Homel REC Sues for Liquidation of Homel RPA “Initsyatyva”

Halina Skarakhod, Head of Homel Regional Public Association “Initsyatyva”, has received the call-up to court for 20 October. However, she hasn’t received the text of the liquidation suit, submitted to the court by the Justice Board of Homel Regional Executive Committee.

One of the violations for which the association was warned in August 2003 was that its juridical address was registered in an apartment house. As a result, Halina Skarakhod found the place for the juridical address in the village of Yaromina, in Homel suburb. She passed the necessary documentation to Homel District Executive Committee and was told that they will be considered at the committee sitting on 23 September.

“I informed the Justice Board about it. In several days I received the answer that if I didn’t present the new juridical address by 23 September, the board would take retaliation”, -- said H. Skarakhod. However, neither on 23 September nor later Homel DEC took any decision on registration of the new juridical address.

“Actually, the local authorities lead us to liquidation”, -- pointed the “Initsyatyva” Head.
