UNO Watches Situation with Human Rights Organizations of Belarus

On 20 October the office of the Supreme UN Commissar on human rights submitted the answer to the appeal of the CIS human rights activists concerning the situation of NGOs in Belarus. There it was said that the acting Supreme Commissar of the UNO on human rights and the special representative of the UNO Secretary General on human rights activists watched the state of Belarusian human rights organizations and activists, and the special representative of the UNO Secretary General Hina Jilani was taking the appropriate actions within the limit of her powers.Add commentary
