Liquidation Trial of “Viasna” Has Started

At 10 a.m. the consideration of the liquidation case against the Public association “Human Rights Center “Viasna” started at the Supreme Court of Belarus.In the morning the court listened to the explanations of the Ministry of Justice, given by Neanila Fishkina, the main specialist of the Board of public associations. N. Fishkina read the list of the people, whose signatures, according to the opinion of the ministry, had been forged in the documents, presented for registration of the Republican public association “Human Rights Center “Viasna”. Then N. Fishkina answered the questions, asked by Judge Valiantsina Kulik, the representatives of Human Rights Center “Viasna” Ales Bialiatski, Valiantsin Stefanovich and Uladzimir Labkovich, representatives of publicity Alesia Vydruk (Independent Association of Legal Research) and Hary Pahaniayla (Belarusian Helsinki Committee).
