Court Rejects Suit of Belarusian Joint-stock Bank Director

On 21 October Minsk Kastrychnitski Borough Court rejected the suit of Pavel Dzik, Head of Belarusian joint-stock Bank, to the editorial staff of “Belorusskaya Delovaya Gazeta” (Unitarian enterprise “Marat”) and the journalist Siarhey Satsuk.The plaintiff demanded from the court to recognize the information of the “BDG” article “Investigation Banks” unfaithful, make the newspaper disprove this accusation and compensate the moral harm by exacting 100 million rubles from “Marat” and 20 million from the journalist. However, having considered the case materials, Judge I. Basko decided to reject the suit.
The plaintiff has the right to file a cassation complain against this decision within 10-days’ term.
