SMARHON COURT FOUND DISTRIBUTORS OF MESTNAYA GAZETA NOT GUILTY

On February 4, Smarhon district court Judge Ala Kindra considered reports of the tax inspection officers, who detained distributors of local press in the middle of January. They were charged with violations of the Rules of street sales. The judge did not found the distributors not guilty.On January 15-16 tax inspectors detained 4 people selling the Mestnaya Gazeta independent newspaper. However, during the trial it turned out that entrepreneur Volha Kuniawskaya had a license to sell the newspaper. Besides that, the court found a number of inaccuracies in the tax inspectors’ reports.
