Head of HRC “Viasna” Will Speak in Geneva

On 12-17 April the head of the Human Rights Center “Viasna” Aliaksandr Bialiatski will be in Geneva. He will present a report at the briefing on human rights issues in Belarus; meet with representatives of the UN Commission on Human Rights, journalists and representatives of international human rights organizations.A. Bialiatski plans to pass to the Commission on Human Rights the complaint of the Human Rights Center “Viasna” against the court decision to liquidate the human rights organization that was issued in October 2003.
It’s worth mentioning that on 16 April the UN Commission on Human Rights will vote on the draft resolution concerning the situation in Belarus.
