Brest Police Detains Four Activists for Leaflet Distribution

Four members of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party Narodnaya Hramada were detained in Brest. They were handing out leaflets about the activities of their party, its attitude to the European Union and to the 1st of May as a Day of workers fighting for their rights.The police detained the social democrats, charged them with distribution of unregistered printed materials, and seized the party leaflets, reports RFE/RL.
