Persecution of 21 July Action Participants Is Not Over

Ruslan Kharkevich, who was detained on 21 July and taken away from Savetski Borough Board of Internal Affairs by an ambulance, received a call-up to the police for 27 July. They intend to pass his case to Savetski Borough Court for trial. Ruslan still feels not very well. He has heartaches, because during the detention the police violently squeezed his chest.Besides, he received a call-up to Partyzanski borough administrative commission that will consider the case that was brought against him for “violation of sanitary norms” (posting of invitations to the action of 21 July. However, in the case he is imprisoned for the participation in the action, he won’t be able to come to the administrative commission.
We should remind that 10 persons are still kept in jail for having taken part in the meeting of 21 July that was devoted to the 10th Anniversary of A. Lukashenka’s rule.
