Head of Homel Regional UCP Organizations Is Beaten in Mazyr

Unknown persons burst on the head of Homel regional organization of United Civil Party Leanid Arlow in a lonely place on the way from the office to home. They hit him in the back of the head. When Arlow came back to conscience, there wasn’t anybody there and his back with documents disappeared. Arlow applied to the police and a criminal case on this incident was brought.

One more incident happened in Mozyr to the head of the primary city organization of the UCP Anatol Petukhow. When he was at his summer residence out of Mahiliow, unknown persons got into his flat. They took away the gun that belonged to Petukhow. All papers were messed up on the floor. Nothing else was taken, though there was money and valuables in sight. It seems that the thieves were interested in the documents. A criminal case was brought on this incident as well.

Anatol Petukhow and Leanid Arlow actively participate in the electoral campaign. Mr. Petukhow nominated into local electoral commission and Arlow is going to run for deputy position at the Chamber of Representatives. That’s why they suppose both of the crimes can be not of criminal, but of political nature.
