Trial over Viasna Lawyer to Continue on August 23

On 23 August Biaroza court will continue to hear the case of Alexander Shavel, lawyer of the Human Rights Center "Viasna". The human rights activist is accused of alleged insult of the district prosecutor.On 19 August Alexander Shavel demanded a lawyer. He rejected services of 3 state attorneys in Biaroza. The case was postponed to August 23. Shavel will be defended by Minsk lawyer Alexander Haliyew.
