Pensioner Hunger-striker from Vawkavysk Taken to Hospital

According to RFE/RLThe 67-year-old pensioner from Vawkavysk Valiantsina Saldatava keeps hungering for the 19th day already. That’s how she protests against the falsification of the results of the election, persecution of the independent Mestnaya Gazeta and the inaction of the authorities in solution of the housing problems.
Valiantsina Saldatava is ill with diabetes. That’s why doctors insisted on taking her to hospital. However, she agreed only to be in the hospital during the day-time, because she has to look for her granddaughter who goes to school. Valiantsina Saldatava takes medicines and continues the hunger-strike.
