17.11.2004.

According to RFE/RL

The former candidate to the Parliament, member of the United Civil Party Maryna Bahdanovich was summoned to the prosecutor’s office for testifying about her electoral radio speech that was allegedly insulting to president Lukashenka.

Maryna Bahdanovich, Aleh Volchak and Aliaksandr Tsynkevich are the democratic candidates to the Parliament who were deprived of registration for alleged insults to president. Central Election Commission also sent materials against them to the prosecutor’s office. Today the investigator Siarhey Shastow recorded the testimony of Maryna Bahdanovich for two hours. She passed to the prosecutor’s office a number of the materials that were published in mass media, interviews and statements of president that made her think the money that was received from the sale of arms went to the fund that was controlled only by Aliaksandr Lukashenka.
