Member of Election Commission Fined Miminal Sum for Massacre Threats to Observer of BPF Party

According to RFE/RL

Vitsebsk Chyhunachny Borough Court considered teh case of Andrey Ramitsan who was member of polling station election commissio #5 and during execution of his duties on 17 October October threatened to massacre the observer of BPF Party Ulaslaw Tokaraw, proxy of the candidate of the BPF Party Kanstantsin Smolikaw. As a result the observer filed complained to court concerning this incident.

Judge Alena Hrabianchuk fined Andrey Ramitsman one basic value for hooliganism.

Uladzislaw Tokaraw thinks it is a very mild punishment because on 17 October he met drunk and aggressive members of commissions quite often. He thinks that such behavior together with mass falsification are manifestations of the extreme cynicism of the responsible officials who state the election was democratic and fair.
