On the Day of Freedom on 25 March the young activists of the BPF Party started an action of hanging white-red-white ribbons onto the trees in Minsk downtown.

The action began at 2.30 in the morning, the activists attaching ribbons to the trees in Peramoha Square, Kastrychnitskaya Square and in Skaryna Praspect.
Half an hour after the action began, police detained three activists and took them to the Department of Internal Affairs of Tsentralny Borough. One activist was released immediately, and the two others had to wait until the police drew up reports registering violation of Art. 143.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences. Also, the police tore into pieces the passport one of the action participants. At 7 in the morning the detained were released.
