MAHILOU DETENTIONS

25.03.2005.

In Mahilou at around 4 p.m. Ryhor Kastusiou, leader of the Mahilou region branch of the BPF Party. Without getting any explanations, he was detained by three people in plain clothes and is now in the Kastruchnitski Department of Internal Affairs of Mahilou.

Also, the police sealed off Ardzhanikidze Square in Mahilou downtown, where the BPF activists had gathered at 5 p.m. to celebrate the Day of Freedom.

At 5.20 p.m. Vital Makarenka, head of the City Council of BPF, and the Young Front activist Siarhei Niagatsin were detained.

At 5.30 p.m. Zmitsier Salauiou, a leader of the BPF Party Branch in Mahilou, was also detained.
