“Supreme Court of Belarus ruled to liquidate the Belarusian Scouts’ Association. The Ministry of Justice addressed the Supreme Court, requesting this action”, reports NDA press-service.

The ruling to liquidate the Belarusian Scouts’ Association was taken by the Supreme Court headed by A.Zabara on the Day of Freedom (25 March). The claims of Ministry of Justice against the association are traditional for all public associations: legal address problems, illegitimacy of the Soym held in 2002, which was recognized illegal due to the insufficient number of registered structural departments. Chancellor of BSA Kastus Khadyka who appeared for the public association in court dismissed the claims saying and stated that struggling with the Ministry of Justice makes no sense because the latter, obviously, has turned into a “punitive body”.
