Vitsebski kurier journalists are denied information

At the press conference in Vitsebsk City Executive Committee at the beginning of May, Siarhei Kochatau, a correspondent of the Vitsebski kurier, was not allowed to ask a question. "We have not invited the Kurier here at all! , declared the head of the information department of the city executive committee of Vitsebsk Aleh Abrosimau. - So, ask no questions!"
At the press conference the senior architect of the city Barys Liadzenka explained the need for constructing a gas station within Vitsebsk. The Vitsebski kurier wrote that the residents of the nearest high-rises are indignant at the construction of this site and send many letters to governmental agencies. It's this reason why the press conference was convened.
In the middle of May, the procurator's office of Vitsebsk Region refused to provide information to the Vitsebski kurier correspondent Zhanna Paharelava, saying the following: "You are working in the wrong newspaper".
