Narodnaia Volia was not accredited at the press conference of the Procurator General

The Narodnaia Volia informs its readers of the violated rights of the journalists of this periodical. The newspaper employee was refused accreditation at the press conference of the Procurator General of Belarus Piotr Miklashevich, due to take place on 23 June. The official reason for refusal was no room for the Narodnaia Volia correspondent in the courtroom, where Mr. Miklashevich will be meeting with the media representatives. The newspaper challenges this version and notes that the press conference is an open event. According to the Narodnaia Volia, of the last three Procurators General only Aleh Bazhelka regularly arranged meetings with journalists. As regards Viktar Sheiman, who is now head of the Presidential Administration, he did not conduct a single press conference though journalists had a lot of questions to ask him.
