Siarhiei Skrabiets Lost about 25 Kilos

On 4 August Siarhiei Skrabiets had a meeting with his wife and son at the investigative isolator in Valadarski Street in Minsk. The meeting lasted for about 50 minutes.According to Aliaksandr Skrabiets, Siarhiei looked very thin – he lost for about 25 kilos. He hungered for almost 40 days in the investigative isolator in Brest to protest against the charges given to him. After this he refused from the food given to him during his transportation to Minsk (3 days) and in the quarantine of the isolator in Valadarski Street (2 days).
Siarhiei Skrabiets says he is satisfied with the food in Minsk isolator – there wasn’t anything fat or spicy there, only Lenten porridges. He also asked the relatives to pass to him raisins, dried apricots, nuts and vitamins. In Minsk isolator food parcels are accepted twice a month, while in Brest one could pass them daily. Mr. Skrabiets does physical exercises in the prison cell. He has four cellmates.
Soon Skrabiets’ defense lawyer Alieh Dubaviets will also have a meeting with his defendant.
