On 27 February the Kalinkovichy police detained Aliaxei Manievich and Dzianis Rabianok, who were distributing the agitation booklets in favor of the registered presidential candidate Aliaxandr Milinkievich.
The police officers with Police Captain Aleh Klim at the head did not think it necessary to explain to the activists the reasons for the detention. Iury Krasiuk, the deputy police chief for public order and special police, met the guys at the station and ordered for the agitation materials to be confiscated. The police first refused to draw up a report registering the detention of the activists, saying that there was no crime, but after an administrative report was drawn up, the detention report was also made.
The public activists decided to appeal against the police actions with the procurator's office, reported the Press Service of the NGO Assembly.
