Political Prisoner Siarhei Skrabets Taken Back to Prison

According to RFE/RLOn 14 February former member of the Belarusian Parliament Siarhei Skrabets was sentenced to 2,5 years of jail for ‘swindling the state out of credits’. The deputy considers this as revenge of the authorities for his political activity. In the end of February he was taken to the corrective colony in the town of Vitsba in Vitsebsk region. Two weeks ago Mr Skrabets was taken to the national prison hospital to be cured from podagra and bronchitis. Now he is at the colony again.
