Shklou: KGB Intimidate Local Activist Aliaksandr Shcharbak

In the morning of 18 March in Shklou KGB with the lieutenant-colonel Anatol Safronau paid a visit to the local activist Aliaksandr Shcharbak. They stayed at his apartment for 2,5 hours without his permission. They asked where he was going for 19 March and proposed to give a written explanation about it. Then they attempted to make him give the written undertaking not to leave Shklou. However, Mr Shcharbak chose the right moment and ran out of the flat, shouting ‘Robbery!’. After this the KGB went away.

At present Mahiliou human rights activists try to complain against the decision of Mahiliou Leninski Borough Court that sentenced to Uladzimir Shantsau to 15 days of jail. According to the human rights activist Barys Bukhel, they have already complained to the chair of Mahiliou Regional court and the procurator of Mahiliou region.
