Sviatlahorsk Pensioner Fined 45 USD

Pensioner Sviatlana Mikhalchanka heads Svietlahorsk branch of the oppositional Party of Communists of Belarus. During the election period she spread Milinkevich’s promotion materials. The local court fined her 3 basic units (around 45 USD) for that. Mrs. Mikhalchanka says that is one third of her pension. However, she is not going to stop her public activity.RFE/RL reports the same very day Svetlahorsk court fined 45 USD another member of Milinkevich’s team – Viktar Akhramchuk.
