Ales Straltsou Not Released from Akrestsina. He is Serving Another Term

Ales Straltsou was to be released from Akrestsina jail after having served 10 days of arrest. However, he was sentenced to another week behind bars for participation in a meeting with Kazulin on March 2. The activist stayed behind the bars. It’s worth mentioning that the decision about the new arrest is completely illegal since the trial was held in his absence.The decision will be appealed. Viasna found out other names of the people who were not released after having served the terms. We are trying to find out what happened to them.
