Official Information: About 600 Persons Were Punished for Violation of Legislation on Mass Actions during Electoral Campaign

On 5 April Procurator General Piatro Miklashevich had a meeting with Aliaksandr Lukashenka and informed him about it. According to the procurator, the election was held in accordance with the Constitution, the national legislation and the principles and norms of international legislation. Mr Miklashevich also said the people demonstrated his free will, despite the fact that the procurator’s office received a number of complaints.

P.Miklashevich said that with the aim to secure the public order during the electoral process the procurator’s office issued 75 acts of reaction, 32 official warnings about inadmissibility of law violations and brought 6 criminal cases.
