Minsk Tsentralny Borough Court Turns down Complaint of Kazulin’s Lawyers about Illegality of His Detention

On 25 March the former candidate to the presidential position Aliaksandr Kazulin was detained during the violent dispersal of the procession to the detention center in Akrestsin Street where the participants of the peaceful protest action in Kastrychnitskaia Square who had been detained on 19-24 March were kept. He was beaten during the detention and taken to the prison in Zhodzina together with many other participants of the protest action.The court considered the detention ‘completely legal’ and turned up the complaint.
