9 Young Activists Announce Hunger Strike In Minsk

9 activists of the Minsk branch of the Young Front have joined the hunger strike with a demand to stop a criminal prosecution of the movements leaders and release all political prisoners.

Zmitser Khvedaruk, Nastassia Palazhanka, Aliaksei Ianusheuski, Antanina Vezhniavets, Paval Davidovich, Aliaksandra Ianachka, Uladzimir Dubovik, Tatsiana Anikeenka and Alena Ignatseva have to take extreme measures in order to attract attention of the society to the criminal prosecution of the Young Front activists and cynical arrests of the movements leaders.

Minsk-based Young Front leaders have decided not to be in one apartment, as many of them are students and have exams now. Besides, a number of protest rallies are taking place in Minsk now, and the activists plan to take part in them.

Previously five activists announced a hunger strike in Salihorsk on May 29.
