Minsk: Zmitser Dashkevich Has Been Released from Jail and Is Going to Join Hunger-strike

At 1 p.m. on 1 June one of the leaders of the Young Front Zmitser Dashkevich was released from the detention center in Akrestsin Street. In his interview to the press-service of the Charter97 he expressed his intention to join the hunger-strike of protest against the criminal persecution of the Young Front members. I was astonished by the solidarity with the Young Front and the courage of the people who defend the values of independent and democratic Belarus despite the wave of repressions. I am very grateful to all brave people who hold actions in support of our organization and I join this hunger-strike, stated Mr Dashkevich.

The same day from the same jail there were released the youth activists Artur Finkevich and Pavel Drazdou. However, the police drove them out of the jail by a car, not to let friends and relatives meet the prisoners.
