Belarusian Charitable Fund To Children of Chernobyl Informs That Number of Children Who Go Abroad for Recreation Has Become Three Times Smaller

02.06.2006.

According to the information of the Belarusian Charitable Fund To Children of Chernobyl the number of children who go abroad for recreation has considerably decreased. It used to be 15 000 persons, now it is only 3 000. One of the reasons is the bureaucratic procedure for receiving of permissions at the ministries of education, health and other state organs. However, the main reason is the order of Aliaksandr Lukashenka to prohibit to schoolchildren recreation abroad during the curriculum year. The charitable organizations state it is impossible to take all children abroad during the summer vacations only.

At the same time, according to the official information, 24 childrens recreation summer camps have been already closed this year because they werent ready to accept children.
