Salihorsk: Police Detain Young Front Activist for Handing out Tovarishch Newspaper

In the evening of 4 June in Salihorsk the police detained the member of the Young Front Aliaksei Iankovich, who was handing out the newspaper Tovarishch the front cover of which had an article about the hunger-strike of protest against the bringing of criminal cases against members of the Young Front.

The policemen took the detainee to the police station for identification and kept him there for 1,5 hours, till his parents came and took him home. Its quite interesting that an hour before other members of the organization also handed out the newspaper and even proposed it to the head of Salihorsk police Harelik, who for some reason refused to take it and only grunted something at them.
