New Activists Join Hunger-strike

Four more persons from joined the hunger-strike: Valery Matskevich from Babruisk, Nasta Azarka from Niasvizh, unde-aged Vika Kutyrla from Zhodzina and the member of the United Civil Party Iryna Kacharova from Mahiliou.

The leader of the united democratic forces Aliaksandr Milinkevich paid a visit to the hunger-strikers and expressed support to them. He said: What our authorities do to such organizations as Young Front and Partnership is a pure madness. The youngsters cant get their organization registered and the authorities want to try and imprison them for their wish to make something for their fatherland. I support their actions and will make everything possible to inform the heads of democratic countries about the hunger-strike. I think that we must engage the civil society and the European states in support to these youngsters.

The leader of the Belarusian Social-democratic Party (Hramada) Aliaksandr Kazulin also passed the words of support to the hunger-strikers from prison and pointed that the Belarusian youth are still capable of heroic deeds. Youth cant continue living in an old way. In fact, the authorities are pushing people to the use of such extreme methods of protest as hunger-strike, runs Kazulins statement.
