Aliaksandr Milinkevich Demands Release of Mikalai Autukhovich

The leader of the united democratic forces of Belarus Aliaksandr Milinkevich signed an appeal to the Prosecutors office regarding the case of Vaukavysk entrepreneur Mikalai Autukhovich. The politician asks to bring up a criminal action against those who are responsible for harassment of Autukhovich.

Autukhovich would not submit! He would die for truth. It`s no jesting matter. And the regime should take it seriously and know that it is responsible for life of this courageous person. Every concerned citizen today must demand the authorities immediate release of the innocent man. Mikalays fight against the state machines pressure on a person with active citizenship is a fight for justice in the country. I express my support to Mikalai. For me personally he is an example of courage and determination, Aliaksandr Milinkevich said.

The campaign for support of Mikalai Autukhovich, who continues a dry hunger strike since May 23 has been launched by Belarusian entrepreneurs. Since 2 June a nation-wide campaign of collecting signatures under a statement to the Republican prosecutors office continues.

In the statement it is proposed to bring up a criminal action against those who are responsible for criminal prosecution of an innocent entrepreneur.
