Homel activists expostulate Charnobylski Shliakh action ban

Homel Regional Executive Committee did not permit local activists to hold a Chernobyl memory picket in April 2006. The organizers of the action consider the decision unlawful. They think that the authorities did not want Homel citizens to gather because Aliaksandr Milinkevich was going to speak there. The activists addressed the Council of Ministers with a claim, which was redirected to the Ministry of Justice. However, the Ministry said it was not vested with such authority. Then the activists decided to assert their rights in court.Add commentary
