Latvian president expresses concern over Belarusian opposition

The President of Latvia Dr. Vaira Vike-Freiberga, during the presentation of credentials by the Belarusian ambassador Aliaksandr Herasimenka, called on the Belarusian authorities to follow the OSCE standards and stop persecuting its political opposition. She also expressed concern over the fate of Mikhail Marynich, ex-ambassador of Belarus to Latvia.Add commentary
