Detention of Protest Action Participants

At 8 p.m. on 29 September several dozens of youth activists came to Kastrychnitskaia Square of Minsk holding in their hands portraits of political prisoners and missing politicians. They stood in the square for about five minutes before the riot police started to detain them. At least five persons were detained: Iana Karnovich, Volha Sakalova, Mikalai Siarheienka, Stsepanenka and Illia Shcharbinski. Some minors have been also detained and then released.
