Zmitser Dashkevich’s Case Passed to Court

The criminal case against the Young Front leader Zmitser Dashkevich has been taken to the court already. The Charter’97 press center was informed about that by another activist of the Young Front, political prisoner Artur Finkevich who had received a letter from Zmitser. As said by Finkevich, the trial over Mr Dashkevich may start in October.

Zmitser Dashkevich was arrested and at the moment is kept in the remand prison in Minsk. He is charged with violation of the article 193 of the Criminal Code (activity on behalf of an unregistered organization) and can be punished with up to two years of imprisonment.
