Zhlobin: Schoolchildren Accused of Damaging Public Order

On 5 October the administrative commission of Zhlobin District Executive Committee president by Aliaksandr Hubarevich considered the reports of administrative violations that had been composed against three senior pupils. The youngsters were accused of distributing fly-sheets that were harmful to the public order and of holding an unauthorized picket of solidarity with the missing politicians on 16 September.

Two schoolchildren, Andrei and Aliaksei, were summonsed to the commission. The third didn’t receive the call-up. The pupils took part in the September’s action of solidarity Light a Candle that took place in Metalurhau Zhlobina Strip. The police detained them, but it wasn’t the end of the story.

‘We were visited by the ideologists from the district CEC, Ms Niakhai. She came to school. We were called to her from our classes. She tried to ascribe to us the organization of the action. It was her who composed this report. Of course it is a political case. The authorities are afraid of everything,’ said one of the pupils.
