23.10.2006.

Wojtek Baradzin is an activist of the Union of Poles which is not recognized by the authorities. Recently the state bodies refused to put a stamp in his new passport that allows traveling abroad.

Mr. Baradzin told RFE/RL that staff of Navahradak Migration Department explained that they followed the instructions of KGB which prohibited Baradzin to leave the country.

Wojtek Baradzin refused to receive the new passport without the stamp and plans to file a complaint to the prosecutor’s office. He believes, KGB does not allow him to cross the border for political reasons, because he has never had any problems with law-enforcing bodies.
