Minsk Kastrychnitski Borough Court Stops Administrative Case against Aleh Volchak

On 7 December Minsk Kastrychnitski borough court continued the consideration of the administrative case that had been brought against the human rights activist Aleh Volchak. Mr Volchak announced recusation to the judge and solicited for summonsing as witnessing the KGB chair Stsiapan Sukharenka and the border guards and customs officers who had examined his belongings on the Polish border on 2 September.
The judge Siarhei Herasimovich didn’t grant these petitions and stopped the case because of the legal time limitation.
