Homel: Fired Members of Belarusian Trade Union of Radio-Electronic Trade Receive Financial Compensation from Bus Park #1

The administration of bus park #1 of Homel had to pay financial compensation to members of the Belarusian Trade Union of Radio-electronic Trade. The drivers Andrei Baranau and Ivan Maskalenka 3,5 million rubles of dismissal wage each. When in the beginning of the month they were informed that the working contracts to them wouldn’t be prolonged, the trade union found that the employer violated the labor legislation. According to the trade union’s conclusion, the administration of the bus park violated the regime of work and rest and the schedule of the drivers’ work. Besides, paragraph 13 of the contract agreement contradicted to Article 176 of the Labor Code. The results of the state inspection confirmed the facts that were presented in the conclusion. After this the trade union activists demanded pre-term breaking of the contract because of the violations from the side of the employer with payment of dismissal wages equal to 3 monthly wages. The money has already been transferred to the account of the trade union.
