Brother of Viachaslau Siuchyk Arrested

Investigator of Leninski prosecutor’s office of Minsk Papou sanctioned arrest of Kanstantsin, brother of activist Viachaslau Siuchyk. Kanstantsin is suspected of overriding a policeman. According to his mother Halina Siuchyk, the accident took place on March 28. Kanstantsin drove the car, his brother Viachaslau was a passenger. Kanstantsin tried to drive Viachaslau away from hospital so that he wouldn’t be sent to jail for participation in the post-election protest rallies on October Square.
Today Halina Siuchyk turned 65. He believes the charges against her son are politically motivated, reports RFE/RL.
