German Diplomat Denied Belarusian Visa

19.12.2006.

German diplomat Holger Kramer has been denied a Belarusian visa. Holger Kremer worked in Belarus as a first secretary of the Embassy from 2000 to 2004. Now the diplomat works in Berlin, in the central office of German Foreign Ministry.

A few days ago Holger Kremer applied to the Belarusian Embassy in Germany for a short-term visa for a private visit, however he was denied one, Radio Svaboda informs.

Press-secretary of Belarusian Foreign Ministry did not comment on the incident, referring to the world practice.

Representatives of Belarusian Embassy in Berlin do not contradict the fact of visa denial, and refuse to comment on it.
