Criminal Case against Youth Activist Zmitser Khvedaruk Sent to Prosecutor’s Office

19.02.2007.

Zmitser Khvedaruk, together with Young Front member Aleh Korban, is a suspect in a criminal case started on February 4, 2007 under Article 193.1 of the Criminal Code. The young people are suspected of acting on behalf of an unregistered organization. Today Khvedaruk received official information that the criminal case had been sent to the Prosecutor’s Office.

The official letter was signed by KGB captain Svistunou, who in fact is the person who manages the whole process of repression against Belarusian youth, reports press service of Young Front. YF reminds that KGB officer Svistunou was the person who headed the group of OMON and KGB officers who illegally detained 27 regional and Minsk activists of Young Front at a session of the Central Council of Young Front on February 4.
