Criminal Case against Young Front Members Passed to Court

The investigator of Minsk city prosecutor's office Siarhei Hrakhouski passed the case against activists of Young Front to Minsk Savetski borough court. Barys Haretski, Aliaksei Ianusheuski, Zmitser Khvedaruk, Aleh Korban and under-aged Anastasiia Palazhanka are charged with 'activity on behalf of unregistered organization'.Bear in mind that on 4 February the police detained 27 activists of Young Front at a sitting of the organization's central council. Zmitser Khvedaruk and Aleh Korban were kept in an investigative isolator for the next 3 days and then released under written undertakings to come to interrogations. Then the number of suspects was extended. On 29 March all five activists were declared suspects in the case. They were given little time to familiarize with the materials of the criminal case against them. The investigator rejected the lawyers' petitions to give them more time for working with the case materials.
