Hrodna Authorities Ban Pickets to UCP

Activists of the United Civil Party have been refused of arranging the pickets in Hrodna. Members of the Hrodna regional organization of the United Civil Party were to hold a number of pickets over the period since 15 April till 1 May .The pickets were aimed at introducing several documents including the Program of the Hrodna Region Development to the people as well as at continuing gathering signatures under the Conception of Free Development of Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Belarus, the press service of the party informed.

But the Hrodna executive committee rejected picketing on the ground that the city center was not suitable for public events. In the near future the Hrodna regional organization of the United Civil Party is going to appeal the executive committee’s refusal in the court.
