Sviatskaya vs. Sivakou at Minsk City Court

The lawsuit on the claim of member of the Soym of the BPF Party Valiantsina Sviatskaya against the former minister for internal affairs Yury Sivakou is to be continued. The lawsuit is to be heard at the Minsk city court next week the hearing is appointed on 23 April at 11 a.m.

On 20 March the hearing of the lawsuit on the claim of Valiantsina Sviatskaya against former minister for internal affairs Yury Sivakou was held at the Frunzenski court of Minsk.Valiantsina Sviatskaya claimed that Yury Sivakou’s article in the Honor-Journal of Special Designation offended her honor and dignity. Sviatskaya claimed rebating of her moral damage by making the defendant pay her 60 million rubles.

In the mentioned article the General quotes a large paragraph from ‘Code of officer’s honor’ written by Adolf Hitler. According to Mr. Sivakou, ‘despite of the odious nature of that man some of his statements are worth to be thought over’.

Frunzensky court of Minsk rejected the claim of V.Sviatskaya against General Sivakou. The decision was motivated by the fact that the article was written in a form of an essay. Valiantsina Sviatskaya appealed the decision in the Minsk city court. It is to be mentioned that Yury Sivakou is suspected by the world community of participating in the disappearance of the oppositional politicians.
