Youth Branch of BPF Party Proposes to Establish Public Initiative for Defense of Social Rights of Students and Disabled Children

According to the information given to BelaPAN by the chair of BPF Youth Ales Kalita, soon the Chamber of Representatives of the National Assembly plans to refuse from the 50% discount for transport fees to students, pupils and disabled children. Besides, it is planned to refuse from giving yearly financial compensation of the transport fees to the children who suffer from renal insufficiency.

‘We consider such steps of our government inadmissible, because in complicated economical conditions they will first of all strike on the socially unprotected strata of the population. Moreover, the authorities have always spoken about the social orientation of the economy. Now we see it was false. It is one more attempt to pick the students’ pockets for filling the holes of the country’s economy,’ Kalita stated.

According to him, the initiative for protection of the social rights of youth can take any suitable form. ‘Mass actions and flash-mobs can be used. We have no doubt that students and youth organizations will support it,’ he commented.

BPF Youth has proposed all concerned persons to gather on 19 April for the establishment of an organizational committed of the initiative for defense of the social rights of students and disabled children.
